Welcome to the home page of the Richmond (VA) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated.
Brothers,
As we enter this season of new beginnings, let us stomp out those weeds that keep us from joining together and growing to our fullest potential. Let us be ever so mindful to be open to the changes in the seasons so that our fraternity may continue to move ahead in the second century Kappa.
As we introduce our Kappa tradition to the newly made brothers, we must be committed to retaining the hard working brothers on our chapter’s roster and reclaim those who have gone astray. Each member needs to make sure his Kappa Diamond is shinning in the pathway destined to greatness. It is our duty as Nupes, to plant the seed of brotherhood and show the outside world that there is power in numbers. Through our crimson blood, sweat and tears, our labor of love to give service to our community, will allow our programs to grow beyond measure and ensure that our Noble Clan will keep its strong roots. At the end of our season, our works will bring forth strong legacies of Kappas who will harvest our blueprint of success. There is no better way of creating inspiration than by sowing into and nurturing undeveloped ideas of future gifted Kappas. This type of planting will continue our tradition of producing lives of achievement in any field of human endeavor.
It is known throughout the land that KAPPA ALPHA PSI IS THE CREAM OF THE CROP. Our seed was planted 100 years ago. We have been blessed to have had great leaders who tilled the land of injustice into a land of equality for all. Leaders who changed our dark barren soil to green pastures so that every brother could have the opportunity to share in the American dream. Stalwart men plowing together in the name of Phi Nu Pi so that all brothers would inherit their inalienable rights.
Brothers we are now reaping those benefits that our leaders put in motion that spring of 1911. Now that we are in the spring 100 years later, let us forever lift a cup of joy and health to all the brothers of KA Psi. Because of our founders, past and present leaders who loved, toiled and strove for thee in earlier years, our fraternity is fiscally sound and We now have the greatest opportunity of a brother’s life time. I give full honor and reveal to All of our noble brothers dear.
So during this new season, let us all examine and re-evaluate our gardening skills. Are we being productive during our Kappa season? Are we planting and watering our seeds daily? Are we growing on good fertile soil? Will our crop come back year after year and live beyond the centennial? Brothers, continue to work while it is day for when night comes- no man will be able to work.
Keep planting Richmond Alumni and Enjoy Your Season!!!
Yours in the Bond,
Christopher D. Speight
